Rock wool is a kind of man-made inorganic fiber made from selected basalt as the main raw material through high-temperature melting. It is characterized by light weight, low thermal conductivity, good sound absorption performance, non-combustibility, and good chemical stability. It is a new type of heat preservation, heat insulation, and sound absorption material. In addition to the characteristics of general rock wool, rock wool products also have waterproof, heat-preserving, heat-insulating, and cold-insulating properties, and have a certain degree of chemical stability. They will not deliquesce even after long-term use in humid conditions. According to the JSA95-1979 method test, its water repellency is above 98%. Because its products do not contain fluorine (F-) or chlorine (CL), they have no corrosive effect on equipment. It has been tested and certified by the Ministry of Public Security Fire Research Institute as a non-combustible material. It is an excellent heat-preserving, heat-insulating, cold-insulating, and sound-absorbing material for industrial equipment such as buildings, pipelines, storage tanks, distillation columns, boilers, chimneys, heat exchangers, fans, and vehicles.
